Does he/she want to round up all the things around home?Make an appointment for a basic herding lesson and learn more about whether your dog wants to be a stock dog. Times available can be flexible. There are also puppy group Sessions available from time to time for dogs up to 8 months of age. Call or e-mail for more information. Nancy has learned much of her herding info from Bob Vest, a talented stock dog trainer who gives clinics around the US. Her methods are gentle and emphasize respect for the dog and teamwork between sheepdog and shepherd. Lessons for more advanced dogs are also available.
Companion Dog Training
Need help with your puppy or newly adopted dog on house manners?
Does the dog you have now have some annoying behaviors that you would like to change?Nancy really enjoys helping folks work with their dog to make their lives more pleasant at home. Some of these things might include teaching your dog not to race out the door ahead of you, teaching her not to jump up on you, or helping you to get her to come when called. Inducive methods, using treats, toys, and the natural bond between owner and pet are the main tools here. Training your dog to be a better companion enhances your bond and paves the way for more fun.
Home boarding is also an option for clients who are leaving town, but don't want to place their dog in a kennel. The dog is part of our household and daily routine. Space available is limited, but we do our best to accommodate needs of our clients.
